We are seeking a reliable and experienced Yard Dog to safely and efficiently move trailers around our yard and dock areas. The Yard Dog plays a critical role in maintaining smooth operations by positioning trailers for loading and unloading and ensuring proper placement according to scheduling and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a yard truck (spotter truck/terminal tractor) to move trailers to and from loading docks, staging areas, and parking spots.

• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of the yard truck and report any maintenance or safety issues.

• Accurately track trailer locations and movements using yard management systems or logs.

• Communicate with warehouse, dispatch, and transportation teams to coordinate trailer moves and dock assignments.

• Maintain a clean and organized yard environment.

• Ensure adherence to safety procedures and company policies at all times.

• Handle basic trailer hookups and disconnects, including raising/lowering landing gear and connecting air lines.
