Express Employment Professionals is currently recruiting for our Ashville, NY client.
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Weigher/Scale Operator to join our team. This role is responsible for accurately weighing incoming and outgoing materials, including customer loads and trucks, while ensuring proper documentation and data entry.
Key Responsibilities
- Weigh incoming and outgoing trucks and customer materials using scale systems
- Accurately record weights and enter data into computer systems
- Verify load information and ensure proper documentation is completed
- Communicate with drivers, customers, and internal staff in a professional manner
- Maintain organized records of all transactions
- Follow company safety procedures and operational guidelines
- Assist with general yard or office duties as needed
Qualifications
- Basic computer skills (data entry, navigating systems, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience in a scale house, logistics, shipping/receiving, or similar role
- Familiarity with weighing systems or inventory tracking (a plus, not required)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, and move between office and yard as needed
- Occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions
Hours are M-F 8 am to 430 pm and pay is $16.00 hr to start.
