Equipment Set Up Technician

The Equipment Set Up Technician is responsible for machine set-ups, product changeovers, tooling adjustments, and minor equipment modifications to support safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This role troubleshoots equipment issues, performs preventive maintenance, and ensures production machinery operates reliably while following SOPs, cGMP requirements, and safety standards. The technician works closely with Production, Maintenance, and leadership teams to minimize downtime, improve processes, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform machine set-ups, changeovers, tooling adjustments, and equipment modifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment, process, and operational issues to minimize downtime.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and minor repairs.
• Ensure equipment operates safely and meets quality and production standards.
• Support process improvements, equipment testing, line trials, and new product implementation.
• Maintain compliance with SOPs, cGMPs, and safety requirements.
• Communicate effectively across shifts and departments to support production goals.
• Promote lean manufacturing and continuous improvement efforts.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Manufacturing, mechanical, or technical experience preferred.
• Experience with machine set-ups, troubleshooting, or equipment adjustments preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and follow SOPs, work instructions, and technical documents.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
