Position Info: Our client is seeking a reliable, proactive Resident Manager to live on-site and support daily property operations (a 78-unit Affordable Housing Community). This position includes a 2-bedroom unit in exchange for 10 hours of work per week. Additional hours beyond the initial 10 will be compensated for at $22.00 to $24.00 per hour (based on experience).
This role is essential in keeping the property clean, safe, and well-maintained for our residents. Responsibilities include daily upkeep of common areas, routine inspections, minor repairs, and support for property operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain trash rooms, trash chutes, and dumpster areas; move trash dumpsters to the curb for pick-up several times a week.
• Empty doggie relief stations and remove trash and litter from the exterior of the building and sidewalks daily.
• Perform small handyman repairs in units and common areas (e.g., minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance fixes within scope of ability).
• Conduct routine inspections of units and common areas, reporting any issues requiring additional attention.
• Clean and maintain common areas including hallways, lobbies, laundry rooms, and outdoor grounds.
• Respond to resident service requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Monitor building systems and report safety hazards, maintenance concerns, or repair needs.
• Support the property management team with special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
• Previous maintenance or handyman experience preferred, especially in residential or multifamily housing.
• Ability to safely operate basic tools and cleaning equipment.
• General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, painting, and carpentry is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions.
• Positive, self-motivated, and customer-service oriented.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical work such as bending, climbing, and carrying.
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Schedule:
• Full-time or part-time schedule depending on property needs.
• Flexibility to assist with occasional after-hours emergencies is preferred.
Compensation:
• Competitive hourly wage based on experience.
• Benefits may be available depending on position status (full-time/part-time).
