Hours: M-F, 8a-5p

Pay: 15/hr, doe may go higher

Position Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and professional Medical Scheduler. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare environment and possess excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills. This position is responsible for scheduling patient appointments, coordinating provider calendars, and ensuring an efficient patient scheduling process.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments.
• Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with scheduling inquiries.
• Maintain provider schedules and optimize appointment availability.
• Verify patient demographic and insurance information.
• Coordinate referrals, follow-up appointments, and testing schedules as needed.
• Communicate appointment details, preparation instructions, and office policies to patients.
• Manage cancellations, no-shows, and waitlists.
• Enter and update patient information accurately in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Work closely with providers, nurses, and office staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients and visitors.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a medical office, clinic, hospital, or healthcare setting preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional demeanor and positive attitude.
