A leading packaging manufacturer in Orangeville is seeking a hands on Blow Molding Setup Technician to join their production team. This role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical ability, experience working with plastics processing equipment, and confidence troubleshooting and setting up production machinery.

This is a stable permanent opportunity with day shift hours, competitive pay, and the chance to grow technical expertise in a high volume manufacturing environment.

Candidates must have experience in extrusion blow molding. Experience with injection molding or stretch molding will be considered a strong asset.

What You'll Be Doing

• Set up and operate blow molding equipment and supporting production systems to produce high quality plastic packaging products

• Perform machine changeovers, including removal and installation of key components such as heads, screws, molds, and take out systems

• Adjust process parameters to maintain product quality, dimensional accuracy, and production efficiency

• Troubleshoot equipment and process issues and perform minor mechanical repairs to reduce downtime

• Support preventive maintenance activities including mold, neck, and blow pin changes and general equipment adjustments

• Monitor production quality through inspections, weight checks, audits, and visual standards

• Grind and reclaim excess material to maintain efficient production flow

• Complete production documentation including quality reports, scrap tracking, efficiency logs, and maintenance records

• Follow all GMP requirements, safety procedures, and company operating standards

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized production area

What We're Looking For

• Must have experience in extrusion blow molding

• Experience in injection molding or stretch molding considered a strong asset

• Previous experience setting up, operating, or troubleshooting industrial machinery in a manufacturing environment

• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues

• Ability to perform machine changeovers and adjust production processes to meet specifications

• Basic computer skills and ability to complete production documentation accurately

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality and safety

• Reliable, self motivated, and able to work independently or within a team

Working Conditions

• Manufacturing environment with automated production equipment

• Standing and walking for extended periods throughout the shift

• Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds

• Exposure to moving machinery and varying plant temperatures

• Personal protective equipment required at all times in designated areas
