Electronics Machine Operator (Surface Mount Technology)

Location: Southlake, TX (On-site)

Position Type: Full-Time

Regular Hours: M-F 2:30PM - 11:30PM (Note: During training, work hours are M-F 6AM-2:30PM.) 

Position Overview

We are seeking a precise and detail-oriented Electronics Machine Operator (SMT) to join a global, top-tier electronics manufacturing provider at their North American headquarters in Southlake.

 

In this role, you will be responsible for operating automated Surface Mount Technology (SMT) equipment to assemble high-quality circuit boards. You will play a vital part in hitting production targets, maintaining strict process quality, and supporting a safe, efficient manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Operation & Support: Operate SMT equipment during production runs, assist with line changeovers, perform hand placement of components when necessary, and assist with preventative maintenance (PMs).

• Quality Assurance: Monitor and maintain the highest quality standards during the paste printing, component placement, and reflow processes. Ensure strict adherence to standard procedures, including the 30-minute AOI sample checks.

• Production Tracking: Accurately count boards, track material traceability, log product serial numbers into the Aegis system, and ensure all tracking documentation (Snapshot Forms) is completed properly.

• Troubleshooting: Monitor component fallout and coordinate with technicians as needed to minimize downtime and ensure continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of general machine operator experience (electronics or automated manufacturing environment preferred).

• Attention to Detail: High level of focus and precision to ensure absolute accuracy in component placement and production tracking.

• Teamwork & Flexibility: Ability to assist with inspection and support other teams along the production line as needed.
