Pay Rate: $20.00 / hour
Shift: 2nd Shift | Monday – Friday, 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM
(Note: Must be able to train on 1st Shift, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, for the first week)
We are seeking a detail-oriented AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) Operator for a premier, global electronics manufacturing provider at their North American headquarters in Southlake.
In this role, you will be the final line of defense for product quality. You will operate high-tech automated inspection equipment and use microscopes to ensure all printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) meet strict industry standards, customer blueprints, and internal quality requirements before they ship.
Key Responsibilities

Inspection & Verification: Operate AOI equipment and use a 10x microscope to visually inspect electronics assemblies against IPC-A-610 standards.

Component Auditing: Verify component markings, values, orientations, and part numbers using manufacturer data sheets and Bills of Materials (BOM).

Data Tracking & Systems: Identify manufacturing defects, log them accurately into the data collection system, and confirm completed inspection steps utilizing SAP.

Collaboration & Improvement: Run basic Excel programs to cross-reference builds, support the broader production team, and suggest process improvements to Quality Engineers and Supervisors.

Workspace Upkeep: Maintain material traceability and participate in workspace organization (5S activities) to support a lean manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, work instructions, and component data sheets.

Tools & Software: Experience using basic measurement tools (e.g., calipers) and a microscope. Strong basic computer skills, including experience navigating SAP, Microsoft Excel, Word, and email.

Physical Requirements: Ability to sit and work comfortably at a computer and microscope station for an 8-hour shift.

Communication: Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English (both written and verbal).
