Belt Operator - Shift 1

Located in Portland, OR

Salary: $20

SUMMARY: The Belt Operator moves material, loads belt furnaces, checks in-process part hardness, loads temper furnace and racks parts.

 

SCHEDULE: Sunday - Tuesday 8am to 8:30pm

 

PAY: $16.25/hr

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

• Operates and loads belt furnace

• Reads, follows and completes job card accurately

• Loads and unloads draw furnaces

• Sets temperatures on draw furnaces

• Performs hardness testing

• Racks, strings and hangs parts as needed

• Sets up and breaks down loads

• Enters job card information into ERP system

• Operates forklift

• Follows paperwork flow, QA and Shop Floor policies and procedures

• Maintains punctual, regular and predictable attendance

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE No prior education, experience or training necessary.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS English. Ability to read, communicate and comprehend simple instructions.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to understand various measurement systems and how to convert between them.

 

REASONING ABILITY Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Forklift certification required and will be provided by worksite.
