Heavy Equipment Operator 

Position Summary
Operate heavy construction equipment safely and efficiently to support excavation, grading, material handling, site preparation, and other construction activities while maintaining compliance with safety regulations and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, compactors, and dump trucks.
• Perform site preparation, excavation, trenching, grading, and material movement.
• Conduct pre-operation inspections and routine equipment maintenance.
• Identify and report mechanical issues requiring repair.
• Follow project plans, grade stakes, and supervisor instructions.
• Maintain safe operating practices and comply with OSHA and company safety requirements.
• Work closely with site supervisors, laborers, and other equipment operators.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.
• Complete daily equipment and production reports as required.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy construction equipment.
• Valid driver's license; CDL may be preferred or required.
• Knowledge of equipment maintenance and safety procedures.
• Ability to read construction plans and follow site specifications.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
