Job Title: Prep Cook

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Prep Cook to support our kitchen team by preparing ingredients and assisting with basic cooking tasks. The ideal candidate will work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, maintain high food safety standards, and contribute to a clean, organized kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

• Wash, peel, cut, and portion fruits, vegetables, meats, and other ingredients
• Measure and prepare ingredients according to recipes and chef instructions
• Assist cooks and chefs with basic food preparation and cooking tasks
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, kitchen equipment, and storage areas
• Label and store ingredients properly, following food safety and rotation procedures (FIFO)
• Stock and replenish kitchen supplies as needed
• Dispose of waste and maintain sanitation standards in compliance with health regulations
• Assist with receiving and storing deliveries when required

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous kitchen or food service experience is a plus, but not required
• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30–50 pounds
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
