Position Summary

Performs the necessary operations of winding wires to produce the assembly of Current and Power Transformers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

• Read wiring diagrams and TTL production sheet instructions for assembly.
• Record processing information in specified area on Production Sheet.
• Read a winding spec and set up the winding machine accordingly.
• Calibrate turns counter and test coils.
• Solder terminals to magnet wire.
• Insert core/laminate into coil.
• Check transformers for exposed wires.
• Clean transformers after resin process.
• Place hardware on finished products.
• Apply pretest labels to units when required.
• Follow safety rules, instructions, guidelines, and procedures.

 

Qualifications Required

 

• High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree); or 1–3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic mechanical and electrical aptitude; ability and eagerness to learn to use hand tools and measurement instruments.
• Strong attention to detail and a genuine commitment to accuracy and quality.
• Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions, checklists, and production travelers.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented with a positive, eager-to-learn attitude.
• Ability to lift to 35 lbs., stand for extended periods, and work comfortably in an active electronics production environment.

 

Tools and Equipment

The following tools are used in the course of work: wire cutters, crimper, screwdriver, pliers, soldering iron, X-Acto knife. Closed-toe shoes and safety glasses are required.

Work Environment

This is a hands-on, production floor-based role within COMPANY’ climate-controlled manufacturing facility located in Clearwater, FL. This is not a remote position. Noise level is quiet to moderate.

 

Compensation & Benefits

This position is temporary to permanent. This is a day shift. Overtime is possible. Starting range $18.00–$21.00 per hour depending on background and experience. Upon full-time hire, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including:
