Accounts Payable Specialist

Located in Edmonton, AB

Salary: $25–$30/hour

An Edmonton client is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team.

Accounts Payable Specialist Highlights:

• Perform full-cycle Accounts Payable duties in a high-volume environment.
• Process invoices, matching, coding, and payment execution.
• Manage vendor relationships and respond to inquiries professionally and efficiently.
• Execute payment runs through cheque, EFT, ACH, and wire transfers.
• Maintain accurate records within AP automation and ERP systems.
• Generate and review AP aging reports and support audit requirements.
• Assist with process improvements as the organization transitions to a paperless environment.
• Collaborate with internal departments and support cross-training initiatives.
• Work closely with the Controller and finance team in a structured office environment.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience required.
• Previous experience in a high-volume AP environment preferred.
• Experience with full-cycle Accounts Payable processes.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and AP automation software preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and vendor coordination skills.
• Reliable, professional, and committed to long-term growth.

Hours & Wage:

• Monday to Friday
• Full-time, in-office position
• Contract-to-permanent opportunity following 720 hours
• $25–$30/hour based on experience
