Position Overview

The Janitor plays a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment for a local company. This position performs routine cleaning, basic maintenance tasks, and ensures all areas meet established health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Facility cleaning — Clean and sanitize restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas

• Floor care — Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors

• Waste management — Empty trash bins and dispose of waste properly

• Supply restocking — Refill soap, paper towels, toilet paper, and other consumables

• Glass cleaning — Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces

• Minor maintenance — Perform light upkeep as needed to support facility operations

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Cleaning experience (required)

• Basic knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment

• Ability to use cleaning tools such as mops, vacuums, and buffers

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness

• Reliable time management and consistent attendance

• Physical stamina: standing, twisting, bending, stooping, kneeling

• HS Diploma or GED equivalent

• Must pass a criminal background check

Work Environment

• May work indoors or outdoors depending on daily needs

• Exposure to cleaning chemicals and repetitive physical tasks

• While this role is scheduled for daytime hours, some janitorial roles may require evening or weekend availability depending on company needs
