Shifts available

    • Full-Time hours  Monday – Friday 8AM – 5PM
    • PRN (Less than 23 hours) Monday – Friday mornings, 7AM – 10AM
    • PRN (Less than 23 hours) Monday and Friday Shifts 8AM – 5PM

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 
1.Communicates the admitting process to the patients.
2.Contact interpreters as requested. Including but not limited to language, hearing-impaired interpreters and/or TTY (text telephone) equipment.
3. Interview patient or representative to obtain personal information, attending Provider, and individual or insurance company responsible.
4. Assembles New Patient, authorization, and all electronic forms; verifies accurate and current patient information.
5. Prepares schedules and daily appointments and records all information in patient charts.
6. Checks insurance and collects co-pay or deductible per payment eligibility in computer system and/or using online tools to ensure correct and accurate data is collected.
7. Explains clinic regulations/policies such as payment of accounts and schedule of charges.
8. Responsible for sending provider referrals, pre-authorizations, and supporting documentation.
9. Processes incoming and outgoing calls efficiently, politely, and as quickly as possible.
10. Documents all phone correspondence with the patient in electronic health records (EHR).
11. Complete all scanning of patient information, lab results, correspondence in patient files, and filing charts as necessary.
12. Prepares other accounting documents or reconciliations as requested by Supervisor.
13. Responsible for ensuring that opening and closing duties are completed such as cash drawer is open/closed, equipment is turned on/off, and doors are unlocked/locked for the day. Per clinic operations.
14. Other duties as assigned.
