Cutting Aerator Machine Operator - 7PM - 7AM

Job Description:

Express Employment Professionals of Dickson is currently seeking efficient and reliable candidates for a Cutting Aerator Machine Operator position with a Leading Manufacturing Company in Kingston Springs. This position will pay $20.00 per hour,  and the hours 12-hour Rotating Shifts from 7:00 P.M.- 7:00 A.M. 

Responsibilities:

• Utilize A Motorized Hand Jack
• Load a pallet onto the Aerator Machine
• Operate the Aerator, which will clamp down on the bottom and top of loaded pallet and then rotate it at a 90-degree angle. At that point the clamps will loosen and the aerator will vibrate with air being blown through the stack of paper so that each sheet will align on all four sides so that it can be sent through the printing press. There are controls to make the machine perform each operation.
• Operates machine to cut out parts of specified size and shape from cardboard. Places single or multiple layers of material on bed of machine.
• Turns hand-wheel to raise or lower head of machine according to thickness of material or depth of die.
• Depresses pedal or moves lever to activate ram that forces die through material.
• Removes cut parts from die or bed of machine
• Measures parts with rule or compares parts with standard to verify conformance to specifications
• Stacks parts in storage area according to size and shape
• May sharpen cutting edges of dies using file or hone
• Operate machine to trim hat brims as designated by Rounding-Machine Operator
• May be designated according to type of die used as Adjustable-Die Cutter and Solid-Die Cutter
• Comply with plant safety and Personal Protective Equipment requirements.
• Completes all other duties as assigned
• Good attitude, performance, and attendance is essential

 

Qualifications:

• Must have a GED or a Diploma
• Capable of working in a fast-paced environment
• Capable of using a scan gun and record information on a computer program that keeps up with count, product, and company names
• Capable of standing/walking on a concrete surface for the shift
• Capable of working in a non-temperature-controlled environment
• Capable of physical movements such as bending, stooping, and lifting
• Capable of working in a safe manner
• Capable of complying with all Safety requirements including the use of PPE: PPE includes but is not limited to Steel toed shoes/boots
