Foreman | St. Louis, MO

We are seeking an experienced Foreman to lead daily shop and/or field operations within a structural steel fabrication and production environment. This position is responsible for supervising crews, coordinating workflow, ensuring quality standards, maintaining production schedules, and enforcing all safety procedures. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, hands-on fabrication or steel experience, and the ability to keep projects moving efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of fabrication, welding, fitting, and production crews
• Assign work tasks and ensure projects stay on schedule and meet production deadlines
• Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and work orders
• Monitor quality of finished products and ensure work meets company and customer specifications
• Enforce all OSHA, company safety, and PPE requirements
• Train, mentor, and support shop employees while maintaining accountability and productivity
• Coordinate with project managers, production managers, and other departments to resolve issues and maintain workflow
• Monitor materials, tools, and equipment to ensure operational readiness
• Troubleshoot production or fabrication issues and implement corrective actions when needed
• Maintain clean and organized work areas while promoting a strong safety culture
• Assist hands-on with fabrication, welding, fitting, or assembly work when needed

Qualifications

• 3+ years of foreman, lead, or supervisory experience in steel fabrication, structural steel, welding, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environments preferred
• Strong understanding of fabrication processes, welding, blueprint reading, and steel production operations
• Ability to lead crews in a fast-paced production environment
• Experience with structural steel, miscellaneous metals, or heavy manufacturing preferred
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Ability to enforce safety standards and production expectations
• Forklift, overhead crane, or rigging experience is a plus
• Ability to work overtime as needed
