Express Employment Professionals is currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Fitter-Welder to join their team in Puslinch, ON.

In this role, associates will be responsible for the fabrication of tanks, drums, frames, and structural steel beams with a high degree of precision. This position plays a critical role in supporting incoming and outgoing projects for our client.

Fitter-Welder Advantages

Fitter-Welder Responsibilities

• Lay out, fit, and weld large fabrications
• Perform Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW) and other welding processes including GMAW, SMAW, and GTAW
• Cut workpieces using saws and torches; operate oxy-acetylene plate bevellers and perform metal grinding as required
• Assist with heavy assembly and equipment testing
• Safely handle materials and operate forklifts, hoists, and overhead cranes
• Perform dimensional inspections using measuring devices such as verniers, measuring tapes, and micrometers
• Complete other related duties as assigned

Fitter-Welder Qualifications

• Must hold a CWB ticket for FCAW and GMAW
• 3–5 years of welding experience required
• Proven expertise in stainless steel welding and heavy fitting
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and welding specifications
• Must have reliable transportation, as this location is not accessible by public transit
• Must successfully complete a 10–15-minute weld and fitting test during the interview process
