Salary: $25-$30/hr.

A company in Toledo on Dorr Street is looking for a motivated and driven individual to join their engineering and automation team as a Tube Laser Programmer/SolidWorks Designer!! The position is focused on developing the skills necessary to program, manage and optimize their Trumpf Tube Laser Systems while also creating and modifying products using SolidWorks. This role would be perfect for someone who enjoys both engineering design and hands-on manufacturing.

Salary position is equivalent to approximately $25-$30/hr. bason on experience.

Requirements

• Proficiency in SolidWorks
• Proficiency in reading mechanical drawings 
• Strong mechanical aptitude 
• Ability to communicate effectively with shop floor personnel 
• Willingness to learn laser programming and automation systems
• A minimum of 2 years CAD drafting or manufacturing experience preferred 

Recommended

• Associate or bachelor's degree in engineering
• Familiarity w/steel fabrication processes
• Familiarity w/ Trumpf laser equipment or software
• Familiarity w/ sheet metal or weldment design
• Familiarity w/ ERP systems 
• Previous experience with laser cutting or CNC programming
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment 

Duties

• Program & manage Trumpf Tube Laser production
• Create and modify 3D CAD models and production drawings using SolidWorks
• Develop custom products and customer-specific designs
• Optimize laser programs for efficiency and material usage
• Coordinate with production personnel to meet manufacturing schedules
• Troubleshoot production and programming issues 
• Communicate effectively with operators on the shop floor
• Maintain engineering documentation and drawing revisions
• Assist with continuous improvement and automation projects
• Support other engineering department projects as needed
