Express Employment Professionals Forest Lake has partnered with a company in Hugo that is hiring for a Field Power Technician!

As a Field Power Technician, you’ll primarily run a service truck out of the Hugo location, performing on-site diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a wide variety of heavy equipment. You’ll enjoy a role that offers independence, variety, and the opportunity to work with different types of machinery each day—all while being home every night.

Rate: $30–$40/hour (DOE)
Pay Frequency: Weekly paychecks every Friday

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair engines, drivetrains, electrical, and hydraulic systems in the field
• Service telehandlers (Pettibone and other brands), generators, cranes, and related equipment
• Operate and maintain a heavy-duty service truck safely and independently
• Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues
• Assist with shop repairs when needed on additional equipment

• Various heavy equipment systems

In the Shop (as needed):

• Telehandlers
• Industrial forklifts (Yale, Clark, Combi)
• Trucks & crane trucks (International, Western Star, Peterbilt, Freightliner)
• Trailers (Precision, Transcraft)
• Passenger vehicles
• Generators and cranes

Skills & Qualifications

• 2–3+ years of diesel or construction equipment repair experience
• Strong troubleshooting skills (engine, drivetrain, electrical, hydraulic)
• Ability to work independently and safely
• Good communication skills
• Valid driver’s license with a clear DMV record
• Comfortable working from a service truck in the field
• Own a full set of tools
