We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in MIG welding and possess a strong understanding of mechanical systems, blueprint reading, and various fabrication techniques. This role involves working with metal components to produce high-quality welded assemblies for construction, ductwork, and other manufacturing projects. Candidates should be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
Shifts: Monday-Thursday ( Must be able to work both shifts)
Day shift: 5:00am-3:30pm
Afternoon shift:3:45pm-2:15am
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding on various metal components according to blueprints and schematics
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions
- Operate hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, and press brake machines to shape and prepare materials
- Use calipers and basic math skills to ensure precise measurements and tolerances
- Rigging and positioning materials using cranes or forklifts for welding or assembly processes
- Assist with machining tasks as needed, including using hand tools and measuring devices
- Conduct quality checks on welds and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment following safety protocols and procedures
Skills
- Proficiency in MIG welding; TIG welding experience is a plus
- Mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing, construction, or ductwork projects
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Experience with plasma cutting, press brake machines, and assembly processes
- Familiarity with rigging techniques, crane operation, forklift handling, and schematics interpretation
- Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, calipers, and basic math for precise fabrication work
- Understanding of welding safety standards and practices in a manufacturing setting
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues during fabrication or welding processes
