A well-established and growing manufacturing facility in the Brantford area is seeking a Welder / Fitter to join their production team.

This is a hands-on welding and fabrication role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where you will be building, assembling, and welding a variety of metal products used in commercial and industrial applications.

This opportunity is ideal for welders who enjoy consistent work, structured processes, and the ability to develop their skills further in a supportive, team-based shop.

No welding ticket is required for this role — hands-on MIG or TIG welding experience is what matters most.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
  • Perform MIG and/or TIG welding on a variety of steel products and assemblies
  • Fit, align, and assemble metal components prior to welding
  • Set up welding machines, controllers, and jigs based on material type and thickness
  • Conduct test welds and ensure quality and consistency of finished products
  • Monitor weld quality and make adjustments to prevent distortion or warping
  • Use hand and power tools such as grinders, drills, and measuring equipment
  • Clean and finish welds, including post-weld cleaning and surface preparation
  • Move completed assemblies to designated staging areas for next production steps
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 1 year of MIG or TIG welding experience in a shop or fabrication environment
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints or technical drawings
  • Strong understanding of basic welding principles and material behaviour
  • Experience fitting and assembling metal components considered an asset
  • Comfortable using hand and power tools
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in weld quality and finish
  • Ability to lift 35+ lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
  • Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented attitude
  • Willingness to learn and grow in a production welding environment
