About The Opportunity
A well-established heavy truck and trailer repair facility is seeking a 310T Truck & Coach Technician or Apprentice Mechanic to join their growing team.
This is a long-standing, family-oriented operation with a strong reputation in the trucking and transportation industry. The shop is equipped with modern service bays and supports a wide range of fleet, commercial, and owner-operator repairs, with a strong focus on safety, quality workmanship, and dependable service.
This role is ideal for a licensed 310T Technician or a motivated apprentice looking to develop their skills in a structured, well-supported environment working on a wide variety of heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
Wage
$35.00 – $42.00 per hour (based on experience)
Up to $45.00 per hour for highly experienced licensed 310T technicians
What You’ll Be Doing
- Perform preventative maintenance (PM) inspections on heavy trucks and trailers
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools and troubleshooting methods
- Complete repairs and adjustments on brake systems (air and hydraulic), suspension, steering, and drivetrain components
- Perform engine, transmission, and clutch repairs as required
- Conduct trailer repairs including wheel seals, lights, ABS systems, doors, floors, and structural components
- Perform oil changes, lubrication services, battery checks, and routine maintenance
- Complete emissions testing and ensure compliance with safety standards
- Remove, replace, and adjust components such as brakes, fifth wheels, and related systems
- Perform minor electrical repairs and wiring diagnostics
- Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and inspection documentation
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to industry standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused shop environment
- Work collaboratively with technicians, apprentices, and service team members to meet deadlines
What We’re Looking For
- Licensed 310T Truck & Coach Technician OR registered 310T Apprentice
- Previous experience working on heavy-duty trucks and trailers considered a strong asset
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities
- Knowledge of diesel engines, air brake systems, hydraulics, and electrical systems
- Mechanical aptitude with experience using hand tools and shop equipment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Welding or fabrication experience considered an asset
- Valid driver’s license (DZ or AZ considered an asset)
- Reliable, punctual, and strong work ethic
