About The Opportunity
Are you an experienced Sanitation Worker, Industrial Cleaner, or GMP Cleaning Associate looking for a long-term opportunity in food manufacturing?
Our client, a well-established food production facility in the Hamilton area, is seeking reliable and detail-oriented Sanitation Associates to support their production and food safety operations.

This role is ideal for candidates with previous experience working in GMP-regulated or food-grade manufacturing environments who understand the importance of cleanliness, compliance, and maintaining strict food safety standards.

Successful candidates will be comfortable working in fast-paced production environments while following sanitation procedures, HACCP requirements, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Available Shifts
Rotating Afternoon and Night Shift

Wage:  $20.20 - $20.70 per hour

What You’ll Be Doing

• Clean and sanitize food production equipment, machinery, and processing areas
• Perform detailed cleaning of production lines during changeovers and shutdowns
• Sweep, mop, scrub, and maintain production floors and workspaces
• Clean and sanitize washrooms, lunchrooms, locker rooms, and common areas
• Safely handle and use industrial cleaning chemicals and sanitation products
• Remove garbage, recycling, and food waste throughout the facility
• Follow daily, weekly, and deep-clean sanitation schedules
• Ensure all cleaning procedures meet GMP, HACCP, and food safety requirements
• Complete sanitation documentation and follow cleaning protocols accurately
• Support audits, inspections, and compliance standards within the facility
• Maintain safe and organized work areas while adhering to PPE requirements
• Work in refrigerated, wet, humid, hot, or fast-paced environments as required

What We’re Looking For

• Previous sanitation or industrial cleaning experience in a GMP or food manufacturing environment preferred
• Understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and HACCP procedures
• Experience working in food production, packaging, pharmaceutical, or regulated manufacturing environments considered an asset
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and food safety
• Comfortable working around machinery, production equipment, and cleaning chemicals
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physically capable of lifting up to 40 lbs and performing repetitive cleaning tasks
• Comfortable working at heights using ladders or lifts when required
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused attitude
• Ability to follow written sanitation procedures and workplace policies
