Leasing Agent Assistant / Apartment Leasing Coordinator

Locations: Mission, TX and McAllen, TX

Pay: $13.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Some Saturdays may be required, 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM)

 

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a friendly, professional, and customer-focused Leasing Agent Assistant to support apartment community operations in the Mission and McAllen areas. This role involves assisting prospective residents, supporting leasing activities, coordinating resident services, and performing administrative office duties in a fast-paced property management environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist prospective residents, tenants, and visitors professionally
• Answer incoming phone calls, emails, and office inquiries
• Conduct apartment tours and assist with leasing activities
• Process rental applications, lease renewals, move-ins, and move-outs
• Coordinate maintenance requests and follow up with residents as needed
• Accept rent payments and maintain accurate resident records
• Assist with filing, data entry, scheduling, and general office support tasks
• Maintain professional communication with residents, vendors, and staff
• Support resident events and weekend leasing activities when needed

Qualifications

• Previous apartment leasing or leasing agent experience required
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
• Professional, dependable, and detail-oriented work ethic
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced office environment
• Reliable transportation preferred
