Position: Bristle packer
Location: Lexington, SC 29072
Pay: $15hr
Shift: 12hr Shift | 6:00am - 6:00pm | Rotating Shift 4 days on 4 days off

Description:
The successful candidate will be able to retrieve filament product from inventory or from a specified machine. Once filament material is retrieved, the packer ensures the material is in accordance with established procedures, guidelines, and customer requirements. Packers must be able to read and interpret production orders and diagrams to ensure quality products are packed within customer requirements and specifications.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Work at different stations as production requires
- Visually inspect material hanks for short ends, bad cuts, and slubs
- Remove debris in material by brushing material out
- Pack quality material into boxes according to designated production order and weigh boxes up to 60 pounds
- Prepare orders for shipping, enter data, print and apply labels
- Tap short material hank cuts to ensure quality of cut
- Demonstrate abilities to remove hanks from hank winder according to standard
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Verify compliance with quality, safety, production standards, work rules, and efficient operation of equipment
- Assist Machine Operator when necessary



Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, production work orders, and packing instructions
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Ability to calculate basic mathematical problems, such as adding/subtracting and multiplying/dividing figures
- Education: High School diploma or GED
