Our client in Des Moines is looking for a Facility Maintenance Technician!

Position Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance on facility and production equipment. This role supports daily plant operations by troubleshooting mechanical issues, completing repairs, and ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform preventative maintenance on plant and production equipment
• Troubleshoot, repair, and replace mechanical components including motors, pumps, conveyors, and piping
• Complete welding, cutting, and equipment installation tasks as needed
• Conduct routine greasing, oiling, and equipment inspections
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
• Follow all workplace safety procedures and properly use personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Participate in workplace safety meetings and support safety initiatives

Qualifications:
• At least 1 year of industrial maintenance experience
• Experience with stick/arc welding and metal fabrication tools
• Familiarity with plasma cutters, oxygen acetylene torches, and aerial lifts
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting abilities
• Ability to work rotating weekend shifts
• Ability to lift, move, push, or pull up to 100 lbs as needed

Hours:
• Full-time schedule
• Rotating weekend shifts required

Pay:
• Pay based on experience
