HVAC Installer Crew Member 

Rice Lake, WI | $20–$25/hr | Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire

 

We are actively recruiting 1–2 HVAC Installers for a well-established heating company in Rice Lake.This is a hands-on HVAC installation role focused on residential system changeouts. Installers work in paired teams and execute installs based on daily job-specific materials lists. This is a production-focused field role—no estimating, no design work, and no sales responsibilities.

What You’ll Do

• Remove and replace residential HVAC systems (furnace and AC units)
• Install refrigerant lines, piping, and related system components
• Load materials from job-specific lists each morning
• Work in a two-person crew at all job sites
• Travel to job locations using company vehicles
• Follow daily assignments via company scheduling app
• Participate in 8:00 AM daily dispatch meeting
• Assist team members and support job completion as needed

Schedule & Work Conditions

• Start time: 8:00 AM (Rice Lake, WI)
• Typical end time: 3:00–5:00 PM
• Overtime: ~2–5 hours/week during peak season (occasional winter emergency overtime possible)
• Company vehicles provided (team-based travel)
• Fast-paced field environment with changing daily assignments

Pay

• $20–$25/hour depending on experience
• Overtime available during busy periods

• Have HVAC installation or strong mechanical experience
• Work well in a paired/team environment (no solo installs)
• Are dependable, coachable, and willing to take direction

• Maintain a positive attitude in a fast-moving field setting
• Are comfortable with physical, hands-on work

Requirements

• HVAC install experience preferred (residential changeouts ideal)
• Ability to lift, carry, and perform physical labor daily
• Comfortable working from job-specific instructions and mobile app updates
• No estimating, design, or sales responsibilities

Equipment & Safety

• Company-provided PPE (glasses, vests, hard hats when needed)
• Steel-toe boots NOT required
• Uniform transition in progress (initial shirts provided; full program upon hire)
• Commercial PPE requirements are rare

Transportation

• Company vehicles provided for all job travel
• Teams typically operate two installers per van
