A company in Waukegan, IL has a great opportunity for a Buyer with experience manufacturing!

If you thrive on problem-solving, building strong supplier relationships, and collaborating across teams in a fast-paced manufacturing setting, this role is for you.

As a Buyer, you will own the procurement process for assigned programs—balancing cost-effectiveness with timely deliveries to keep our production schedules running smoothly.

Responsibilities:

• Purchasing parts and raw materials
• perform cost analysis and support cost-saving initiatives
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, and service agreements with suppliers
• Maintain purchase orders, including schedule changes and rescheduling
• Analyze supplier quotations
• Partner with the Master Scheduler
• Track and support departmental KPIs
• Provide project updates, reporting, and support
• Maintain good supplier relationships

Qualifications:

• Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum 3 years of purchasing or buyer experience in a manufacturing environment
• Microsoft office
• Excel and excellent computer skills
• Experience with MRP/ERP Systems is highly preferred
• Experience with purchasing overseas is a huge bonus!!
