About the Opportunity

We’re partnering with a fast-growing, innovative technology organization to hire a Senior Technical Accountant. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys tackling complex accounting issues, driving compliance, and supporting a rapidly evolving business.

 

You’ll play a key role in technical accounting research, policy development, and financial reporting, working closely with leadership and cross-functional teams. This is a fully onsite role in Austin, TX with strong growth potential and high visibility.

 

What You’ll Do

• Research and interpret U.S. GAAP guidance and apply it to complex transactions
• Prepare technical accounting memos and documentation for key accounting positions
• Support revenue recognition (ASC 606), leases (ASC 842), and other critical areas
• Assist with financial reporting and ensure compliance with accounting standards
• Partner with FP&A, legal, and operations on accounting implications of business changes
• Support and coordinate with external auditors during audits and reviews
• Review contracts and provide guidance on proper accounting treatment
• Drive improvements in accounting policies, processes, and internal controls
• Contribute to special projects, including system implementations and process optimization

 

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA strongly preferred)
• 3–6+ years in technical accounting and/or public accounting
• Background in Big 4 or national public accounting strongly preferred
• Experience supporting public company reporting or complex accounting environments
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and accounting research
• Experience with ASC 606 and other technical standards
• Industry exposure to aerospace, defense, regulated manufacturing, or IPO environments a plus
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
