Job Description

Express Employment Professionals is currently hiring Medical Billing & Coding Specialists for healthcare offices and medical facilities throughout the Shreveport and Bossier area. We are seeking detail-oriented individuals with experience in medical billing, coding, insurance verification, claims processing, or healthcare office administration.

These positions may involve working with patient accounts, insurance companies, billing systems, and medical documentation in fast-paced healthcare environments. Both temporary assignments and long-term evaluation hire opportunities are available.

Responsibilities

• Process medical billing and coding information accurately
• Submit insurance claims and follow up on claim status
• Verify insurance coverage and patient information
• Review medical documentation for accuracy and completeness
• Maintain patient billing records and account information
• Communicate with insurance providers regarding claims and payments
• Assist with payment posting, collections, and account reconciliation
• Follow HIPAA guidelines and maintain confidentiality

Qualifications

• Previous medical billing, coding, or healthcare office experience preferred
• Knowledge of ICD, CPT, and insurance billing procedures is a plus
• Certification in Medical Billing or Coding preferred for some positions
• Strong computer and data entry skills
• High attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and accuracy
• Strong communication and customer service skills
