About the Opportunity

We are seeking a well-rounded Accountant to join a growing government contractor in Honolulu. This role is ideal for someone with strong core accounting experience who is willing to take ownership of payroll processing (training provided).

Key Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including billing and collections
• Prepare invoices, monitor receivables, and ensure timely contract billing
• Maintain financial records, reconciliations, and general accounting activities
• Process vendor payments (check/ACH) and maintain AP documentation

Payroll (Biweekly Ownership):

• Process and manage biweekly payroll (training provided)
• Review and validate employee timesheets and approvals for accuracy
• Maintain payroll data in systems (Ceridian, timekeeping tools)

 

Qualifications

• Required: Experience in DoD, government contracting, or DCAA environment
• 3–5+ years of accounting experience (AP/AR, reconciliations, bookkeeping)
• Willingness to own payroll processing (prior experience helpful but not required)
