The Warehouse Associate is responsible for safely handling, moving, and organizing steel materials ranging from light components to heavy steel items. This role supports daily warehouse operations, ensures accurate inventory flow, and maintains a clean, safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lift, carry, and move steel items of varying weights (light to heavy) throughout the warehouse.

• Load and unload steel materials from trucks, racks, and storage areas using proper lifting techniques and equipment.

• Operate warehouse tools 

• Sort, stage, and organize steel products according to size, type, and job requirements.

• Perform accurate inventory counts and assist with stock rotation.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with company safety standards.

• Follow all safety procedures, including PPE requirements and safe material-handling practices.

• Assist with general warehouse duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver steel items up to [insert weight limit, e.g., 10-50 lbs] regularly.

• Previous warehouse or material-handling experience preferred, especially with steel or industrial materials.

• Ability to operate or willingness to learn warehouse equipment (forklift certification is a plus).

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
