Day Porter – $22.50/hr – Monday–Friday (7:00 AM–4:00 PM)

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable, detail‑oriented Day Porter to maintain commercial properties in clean, safe, and functional condition. This role supports professional business environments by performing routine grounds, exterior, interior, and janitorial maintenance. Position requires travel between multiple properties.

Schedule & Pay

Full-time: Monday–Friday
Hours: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Pay: $22.50 per hour

Key Responsibilities

Travel between assigned commercial properties
Maintain cleanliness of common areas, sidewalks, parking lots, and landscaping
Empty and clean exterior trash receptacles and ash trays
Remove trash, debris, weeds, gum, and litter from all exterior areas
Clean benches, tables, chairs, tree grates, and exterior fixtures
Perform graffiti removal
Clean hallways, public restrooms, elevators, and storefront windows
Place/remove carpet runners; perform minor snow removal (shovel, sand, salt)
Inspect and report issues with lighting, signage, and property fixtures
Maintain janitorial equipment and tools
Complete maintenance work orders and detailed tech notes
Communicate professionally with tenants, vendors, and coworkers

Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma or GED
Valid Oregon Driver’s License with clean driving record
2+ years related experience (janitorial, grounds, or light maintenance)
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Comfortable using smartphone apps for work orders and documentation
Experience with hand tools and light equipment (blowers, vacuums, pressure washers, etc.)
Ability to read safety rules, operating instructions, and MSDS information
Strong communication skills (text, email, written notes)

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, kneel, crouch, or crawl for long periods
Lift 25–50 lbs regularly, including overhead
Operate light machinery and company vehicles
Work at heights of 6+ feet using ladders
Work outdoors in seasonal weather conditions

Work Environment

Indoor and outdoor work across commercial, office, retail, and industrial properties
Low to moderate noise levels
