Express Employment Professionals is currently seeking an experienced Auto Mechanic for a full-time opportunity with strong earning potential and a stable work schedule. We are looking for a dependable technician with strong diagnostic and repair abilities who takes pride in accurate, high-quality work.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot engine, transmission, electrical, and brake issues using diagnostic tools and hands-on experience
• Perform accurate repairs and preventative maintenance services
• Conduct quality inspections to ensure repair accuracy and safety
• Complete well-documented work orders and maintain clear communication regarding repairs
• Ensure first-time repair accuracy whenever possible
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
• Communicate professionally with customers and team members
• Meet productivity and performance expectations consistently

Qualifications

• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across engine, transmission, electrical, and brake systems
• Ability to accurately use diagnostic scan tools and interpret error codes and system data
• Solid understanding of automotive repair procedures and systems
• Minimum 2+ years of Auto Mechanic experience required
• 5+ years preferred for advanced diagnostics and repair capability
• Formal automotive training, trade school, technical program, or manufacturer certifications preferred but not required
• High school diploma or GED required
• ASE certifications are a plus, but not required
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs regularly
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 75 lbs with assistance or equipment
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and work in and around vehicles for extended periods

Tools & Equipment Used

• Automotive lifts
• Hand tools including wrenches, sockets, ratchets, screwdrivers, and torque wrenches
• Power tools including impact guns, air tools, grinders, and drills
• Diagnostic scan tools and OBD-II code readers
• Electrical testing equipment including multimeters and circuit testers
