Express Employment has an internal opening for a Staffing/Recruiting Specialist.

About the Position:

We are seeking a results-driven Staffing/Recruiting Consultant to join our team. This role is responsible for identifying, attracting, and placing qualified candidates while building strong relationships with clients and delivering exceptional service. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, sales-oriented, and skilled in both recruiting and client management.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruiting & Talent Acquisition

Source, screen, and interview candidates using job boards, social media, networking, and referrals
Evaluate candidates’ skills, experience, and cultural fit for client opportunities
Maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future openings
Coordinate interviews and manage the hiring process from start to finish
Conduct reference checks and facilitate onboarding

Client Relationship Management

Develop and maintain strong relationships with client companies
Understand client workforce needs, job requirements, and company culture
Provide consultative recommendations on hiring strategies and market trends
Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and retention

Sales & Business Development

Identify new business opportunities and generate leads
Conduct client outreach via calls, emails, and meetings
Present staffing solutions and negotiate terms of service
Meet or exceed placement and revenue targets

Administrative & Operational Duties

Maintain accurate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS)
Prepare job postings, candidate profiles, and client reports
Stay compliant with employment laws and company policies
Track recruiting metrics and performance goals

Qualifications:

Required

High school diploma
1–3+ years of experience in staffing, recruiting, or sales
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Excellent grammar, spelling, and typing skills are mandatory
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and recruiting tools

Preferred

Business, HR, or related field preferred
Experience in agency staffing or recruiting
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales/recruiting targets
Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and CRM platforms
Industry specialization (e.g., healthcare, IT, finance, industrial)

Shift:

Monday-Friday 8 am to 5 pm

Benefits:

Compensation:

$20-$22 per hour to start depending on experience plus commissions and bonuses
