Assembly - 3D Printing 

Express has an exciting opportunity to get involved in the world of 3D Printing as a Assembler! Our client is a provider of custom manufacturing services with a comprehensive suite of both additive and traditional manufacturing technologies. They specialize in additive manufacturing services for production grade parts across a variety of end markets (medical, electronics, consumer automotive, aerospace, defense, automation, and industrial). Seeking flexible and motivated self-starters who are open to learning!

• Location: Libertyville
• Hours: 1st shift hours| 7am-4pm
• Pay Rate: $19.00/hr 
• Position Type: Temporary (2 months) with potential to go permanent

General Responsibilities:

• Remove excess powder and support material from 3D printed parts using specialized tools and equipment
• Maintain machinery and ensure cleanliness of workspace
• Visual inspection of parts (checking for defects or inconsistencies post de-powdering)
• Responsible for completing a variety of different finishing processes depending on the product and client specifications (sanding, polishing, coating, etc).Maintain accurate production documentation
• Properly handle, package and store 3D printing materials in accordance with regulations
• Collaborate with design and engineering teams to troubleshoot production related issues and optimize the design for 3D printing process
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, streamlining and waste reduction

 

Ideal Background:

• Background in manufacturing and/or distribution or technical schooling preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Prior background working with hand/power tools
• Critical thinking, problem solving, and organizational skills are required.
• Flexible work style: open to cross training and assisting in different departments
