Our client in Mentor, OH is seeking reliable and motivated Shop Helpers to support production operations. This role assists with general shop duties, material handling, and maintaining workflow efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist CNC machine operators and production staff with daily tasks
• Load, unload, and move materials throughout the facility
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards
• Perform basic assembly or sorting of parts as needed
• Operate hand tools and other basic equipment safely
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times
• Inspect materials and report any defects or issues
• Support general shop operations as directed by supervisors

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing, warehouse, or general labor experience preferred (not required)
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or in a team environment
• Strong attention to detail and work ethic
• Dependable with good attendance

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 40–50 lbs regularly
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting
• Ability to work in a production environment for the duration of the shift

Schedule

• 1st Shift: Typical daytime hours (may vary)
• 3rd Shift: Overnight hours (may vary)
• Overtime may be required based on production needs

Work Environment

• Manufacturing/shop setting
• Exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures
• PPE required (safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe boots, etc.)
