Job Description

As an Estimator, you will play a critical role in the pre-construction phase by accurately calculating project costs, analyzing blueprints and specifications, and preparing detailed bids to secure new contracts. You will work closely with sales teams, clients, and subcontractors to gather information, assess project feasibility, and ensure competitive pricing while maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Analysis: Review project plans, specifications, and related documents to understand project scope and requirements
  • Cost Estimation: Research and obtain current pricing for materials and labor. Utilize estimating software to calculate accurate project costs
  • Bid Preparation: Prepare comprehensive proposals and bids. Collaborate with sales teams to present proposals to clients and address questions or concerns. Assist in negotiating contract terms and pricing with clients and subcontractors
  • Communication & Collaboration: Maintain open communication with clients, project managers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure accurate information flow. Collaborate with the sales team to identify potential new business opportunities

Qualifications

  • Education: Degree in progress or completed degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred
  • Experience: Preferred, but not mandatory
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in estimating software, AutoCAD, Titan, and other relevant design tools
  • Knowledge: Understanding of drainage and utility layouts, materials, and project management principles, with a willingness to learn
