Salary: $20-24/hour

Our client in Cedar Rapids is looking for a MIG Welder!!

General Duties:

• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements to plan layouts.
• Identify and weld components such as beams, angle, c channel and tube 
• Assess welded surfaces, structures and components to identify errors.
• Follow and enforce strict safety regulations such as wearing heat-resistant gloves, protective masks, and safety shoes.
• Material handling, ability to lift 50lbs, operate forklift, and use of overhead crane.

Requirements:

• A valid certificate in welding from an accredited institution or 1 year welding experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of welding, equipment, and manual tools.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and designs.
• Outstanding attention to detail.
• Must be able to read and interpret 1/16 scale tape measure
• Must be able to pass AWSD 1.1 weld classification.  (done in house)
• Have basic computer skills
• Ability or aptitude to learn
• Strong adherence to attendance policy
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work in a team environment

Hours:

• Monday – Friday
• 6am – 4:30pm
• Mandatory Overtime Every other Saturday from 6am – 12pm

Pay:

• $20-24/hour
