About the Position

Our client is seeking an experienced Skid Steer Operator with a strong background in construction to join their team on active job sites.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience operating skid steer equipment with foot controls in a construction environment
  • Experience operating heavy construction equipment such as skid steers, front-end loaders, or similar machinery
  • Strong understanding of construction site safety procedures and adherence to all site protocols
  • Ability to work on active construction sites with varying terrain and conditions
  • Experience performing daily equipment inspections and reporting maintenance concerns
  • Ability to safely load, move, and transport construction materials
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced outdoor construction environments in all weather conditions
  • Ability to follow directions and work both independently and as part of a construction crew
  • Strong communication skills when working with supervisors, operators, and site teams
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to identify and troubleshoot minor equipment issues
  • Reliability, strong work ethic, and punctuality on active job sites
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation considered an asset

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Operate skid steer equipment safely and efficiently using foot controls
  • Operate heavy machinery such as skid steers, front-end loaders, and other industrial equipment
  • Load, move, distribute, and transport materials safely and efficiently
  • Perform grading, digging, backfilling, excavation, and site clean-up duties
  • Conduct daily equipment inspections and report any maintenance concerns
  • Monitor equipment performance to ensure smooth operations
  • Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues when possible
  • Follow standard operating procedures and all site safety protocols
  • Maintain accurate production and operational records
  • Collaborate with team members to meet operational targets
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
  • Operate various skid steer attachments as required
  • Work independently in fast-paced outdoor environments under varying weather conditions
