Salary: $28.00 – $34.00/hour DOE

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quality Technician II – Metrology Inspector to support metrology and inspection operations within an aerospace manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for performing advanced dimensional inspections, generating inspection reports, supporting equipment calibration, and providing metrology solutions for precision manufacturing applications.

The ideal candidate has strong experience with laser trackers, PCMM inspections, dimensional analysis, and aerospace quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform metrology inspections including laser tracker and portable CMM (PCMM) inspections
  • Support machine alignments, reverse engineering, tool building, and assembly projects
  • Generate inspection reports according to customer and aerospace quality requirements including:
    • First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR)
    • Drawing-Based Inspection Reports
    • Model-Based Definition (MBD) Inspection Reports
    • Dimensional Inspection Reports
  • Maintain metrology equipment through field calibrations and verification processes
  • Ensure equipment cleanliness and maintenance according to manufacturer specifications
  • Function as a subject matter expert for metrology applications and inspection solutions
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members
  • Assist with preparing technical specifications and quotations
  • Support additional quality and metrology projects as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 3–5+ years of related metrology or aerospace inspection experience preferred
  • Strong experience with laser tracker systems and 3D metrology equipment
  • Excellent 3D analytical and dimensional inspection skills
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to present technical information clearly to technicians, engineers, managers, and leadership teams
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills

Preferred Experience

  • Aerospace manufacturing environment
  • Reverse engineering and dimensional analysis
  • Tooling and assembly inspection
  • Model-Based Definition (MBD) inspection processes
  • Portable CMM inspection systems
