We are seeking a detail-oriented Electroplating Technician to support precision plating operations within a regulated aerospace manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for performing electroplating processes on small, high-precision components while maintaining plating bath chemistry and ensuring consistent product quality.

The ideal candidate has experience with metal finishing processes, strong attention to detail, and the ability to follow strict quality and safety procedures.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Perform electroplating operations on small precision components using processes such as gold and nickel plating
  • Prepare components for plating including cleaning, masking, racking, and fixturing
  • Operate and monitor plating baths while maintaining process parameters including temperature, pH, and current density
  • Conduct routine wet chemistry testing including titrations and pH checks
  • Make chemical additions and adjustments according to process specifications
  • Inspect plated parts for coating quality, thickness, coverage, and defects
  • Troubleshoot and identify basic plating or process issues
  • Maintain accurate production records, bath logs, and traceability documentation
  • Follow all quality, safety, environmental, and chemical handling procedures
  • Support compliance with AS9100 and NADCAP manufacturing standards

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 1–3 years of electroplating, metal finishing, or related manufacturing experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of plating processes and basic bath chemistry control
  • Ability to follow detailed manufacturing and quality procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with small precision components
  • Basic math, measurement, and documentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented production environment

  • Frequent handling of small precision parts
  • Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift
  • Use of PPE and adherence to chemical safety procedures required
  • Exposure to plating equipment, chemicals, and regulated manufacturing processes
