CNC Lathe Machinist ALL SHIFTS

We are seeking an experienced CNC Lathe MachinistS to join a precision manufacturing team in Poway, CA. This role is responsible for setting up and operating CNC lathe machines to manufacture high-quality precision components while maintaining production efficiency, safety, and quality standards. There are multiple shifts available for this role. 

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically skilled, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathe machines for precision machining of metallic materials
• Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, sketches, and technical specifications
• Perform tool changes, offsets, and machine adjustments to maintain quality standards
• Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and other precision measuring tools
• Maintain tight tolerances and high-quality workmanship
• Monitor and manage tool life performance
• Perform basic deburring and rework as needed
• Troubleshoot machining and production issues
• Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and quality
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Perform operator-level machine maintenance and support additional production tasks as needed
• Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing standards

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of CNC lathe machining experience required
• Experience using G-codes required
• Ability to work independently on second shift
• Strong blueprint reading and machining interpretation skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong shop math and measurement skills
• Familiarity with general manufacturing safety and quality systems
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Willingness to support multiple tasks within a manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Aerospace manufacturing experience preferred
• Experience machining aerospace materials including Inconel, titanium, and stainless steel
• Tool life management experience preferred
• Experience with 3-axis machine setup is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Range: $25.00 – $40.00/hour DOE
• Additional 10% shift differential for second shift employees
• Full-time, non-exempt opportunity
