We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Return Goods Coordinator to support the day-to-day management of returned merchandise within a fast-paced warehouse and distribution environment. This role is responsible for processing returns, maintaining accurate inventory records, coordinating with customers and vendors, and ensuring returned products are handled efficiently from receipt through final disposition.

The ideal candidate is proactive, communicative, and comfortable working cross-functionally with warehouse, customer service, and sales teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full return merchandise process from receipt through final resolution
  • Inspect returned and damaged items to determine eligibility for restock, rework, vendor return, or scrap
  • Process credits, chargebacks, and inventory adjustments accurately within company systems
  • Maintain detailed records of returned merchandise and update inventory databases
  • Coordinate with customer service, sales, warehouse, and vendors regarding return discrepancies and approvals
  • Request and track RMAs (Return Merchandise Authorizations) from vendors
  • Organize and relocate returned inventory to proper warehouse locations
  • Assist with inventory reconciliation and cycle counts
  • Operate warehouse tools and equipment such as scanners and pallet jacks as needed
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Provide excellent communication and follow-up with customers regarding return status and expectations
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 2–4 years of related warehouse, inventory, returns, logistics, or distribution experience preferred
  • Electrical, industrial, or distribution industry experience is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic computer and inventory system proficiency preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift throughout the shift
  • Repetitive lifting, pulling, and movement of merchandise may be required
  • Comfortable working in a warehouse environment
  • Ability to maintain regular and reliable attendance
