Due to continued growth, they are seeking a hands-on, operations-driven Marine Terminal Supervisor to join their leadership team in the Hamilton/Oshawa region.

About the Role

As the Marine Terminal Supervisor, you will oversee the safe and efficient loading and unloading of marine cargo while coordinating terminal crews, equipment, and daily operational activities.

You will lead a team of up to 20 longshore workers and play a key role in ensuring:

• safe operations
• productivity targets
• customer satisfaction
• environmental compliance
• operational excellence

This is a highly visible leadership role requiring strong decision-making, communication, and problem-solving skills in a dynamic industrial environment.

What You Will Be Doing

Operational Leadership

• Coordinate and supervise vessel loading and unloading operations
• Dispatch and direct terminal crews and longshore personnel
• Allocate heavy equipment, lifting equipment, and operational resources efficiently
• Monitor cargo flow to ensure timelines and production targets are achieved
• Troubleshoot operational issues quickly to minimize delays and downtime

Team Leadership

• Motivate, coach, and support frontline crews in a fast-paced environment
• Promote accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
• Assist with training and onboarding of new personnel
• Foster strong employee engagement and communication across shifts

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a leader who leads from the front, communicates clearly, and earns the respect of the team through accountability and action.

Required Experience

• Previous leadership or supervisory experience in:
• marine terminal operations
• logistics
• heavy industrial operations
• rail operations
• warehousing/distribution
• mining or similar environments

Key Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead teams in fast-paced operational settings
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to work around heavy machinery and industrial equipment
• Results-oriented with a proactive, “get-it-done” attitude
• Marine terminal or port operations experience
