CNC Lathe Operator

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Operator to support daily manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for machine setup, operation, quality inspection, and troubleshooting to ensure accurate production of components.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and experience working in a manufacturing environment. This role requires the ability to read technical information, operate CNC equipment, and maintain high-quality production standards.

Responsibilities

CNC Machine Operation

• Set up and operate CNC lathe equipment.
• Prepare tools, fixtures, and materials for production.
• Load programs and make necessary machine adjustments.
• Monitor machining operations to ensure proper performance.
• Perform tool changes and basic machine maintenance.
• Troubleshoot equipment or machining issues as needed.

Quality Inspection

• Inspect completed parts to verify accuracy and quality standards.
• Use precision measuring tools to check dimensions and tolerances.
• Review work against drawings, specifications, and production requirements.
• Identify and communicate quality concerns.

Safety & Production Support

• Follow all workplace safety procedures and guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Work efficiently to meet production goals.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous CNC machining, manufacturing, or related experience preferred.
• Familiarity with CNC controls and machine operation.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of measuring tools and inspection techniques.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Basic math skills with the ability to understand measurements and specifications.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with G-code programming.
• Knowledge of machining tolerances, surface finishes, and GD&T.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment.
• Background in CNC setup and troubleshooting.
