Job Title: System Administrator I

Location: Onsite – Yuba City, CA

Reports To: IT Manager & CFO

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Desktop Support / Systems Administrator to provide day-to-day technical support and systems management within our organization. This individual will work directly with end users to resolve hardware, software, and infrastructure issues, while also collaborating closely with our external IT services partner to ensure alignment across projects, escalations, and standards.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on technician with excellent troubleshooting abilities, a service-focused mindset, and the interpersonal skills to thrive in a collaborative workplace.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

·        Serve as the first point of contact for end-user support needs (in-person, phone, or remote).

·        Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and other endpoint devices.

·        Provide general support for Microsoft environments, including Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, and Teams.

·        Manage user accounts, group memberships, and access permissions in Active Directory and Microsoft 365.

·        Support and monitor backup systems, endpoint management, and basic cybersecurity protections.

·        Troubleshoot and maintain network connectivity issues at the LAN/WAN level.

·        Administer and support local servers, storage, and cloud-hosted systems as needed.

·        Maintain clear documentation of systems, support tickets, asset inventory, and standard operating procedures.

·        Work in coordination with the company’s IT partner for escalations, project work, standards alignment, and proactive improvements.

·        Participate in IT-related projects, upgrades, and rollouts as assigned.

·        Monitor and report on system performance, availability, and patch compliance.

·        Escalate complex issues to the company’s IT partner or other senior resources as appropriate.

Additional Duties

·        Provide training or orientation for end users on basic technology usage and security awareness.

·        Assist in evaluating new technology solutions or recommending improvements to existing systems.

·        Monitor incoming tickets and respond to incidents and requests in a timely, professional manner.

·        Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners, providing status updates and setting clear expectations.

·        Maintain a high standard of customer service and professionalism in all interactions.

Qualifications

·        2+ years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or a related role.

·        Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a business-related field preferred; equivalent work experience considered.

·        Familiarity with Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and Office 365 administration.

·        Experience with networking concepts such as DNS, DHCP, IP routing, and VPNs.

·        Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·        Strong time management, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.

·        Experience working in collaboration with an MSP or third-party IT partner is a plus.

·        Must be detail-oriented, dependable, and capable of working independently.
