Job Summary
The Scale House / Customer Service Representative is responsible for providing excellent customer service while accurately operating truck scales and processing transactions at the facility. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in person and over the phone
• Handle customer account inquiries, payments, and general service questions
• Weigh inbound and outbound trucks using computerized scale systems
• Calculate disposal fees and charges based on load weights and material types
• Process cash, credit card, and account transactions accurately
• Issue receipts, tickets, and required documentation
• Maintain accurate records and daily transaction logs
• Communicate with drivers, dispatchers, and facility personnel regarding site operations
• Provide administrative and clerical support as needed
• Maintain a professional and organized front office environment
• Follow company safety procedures and policies
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous customer service, cashiering, or office experience preferred
• Cash handling and payment processing experience required
• Strong computer and data entry skills
• Ability to learn scale software and operational procedures
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy environment
• Dependable with a positive, team-oriented attitude

Work Environment

• Split between office/customer service duties and scale house operations
• May involve working around truck traffic, dust, noise, and outdoor conditions at times
