We are seeking a reliable and motivated Maintenance Technician I to support the day-to-day operations of a large commercial property with multiple tenants. This position is responsible for performing general maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance tasks throughout the building while providing excellent customer service to tenants and visitors.

The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and capable of handling a variety of basic maintenance duties in a fast-paced commercial environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform routine building maintenance and repairs including plumbing, electrical, lighting, HVAC, and general carpentry tasks
• Complete work orders submitted by tenants and property management in a timely manner
• Conduct daily inspections of building systems, common areas, and exterior grounds
• Replace light bulbs, ceiling tiles, filters, and other building components as needed
• Assist with preventative maintenance programs for HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems
• Maintain clean and organized maintenance areas, storage rooms, and equipment
• Respond to maintenance emergencies and after-hours calls when required
• Support vendor and contractor activities while ensuring work meets property standards
• Assist with moving furniture, setting up conference rooms, and tenant requests
• Follow all safety procedures, OSHA guidelines, and company policies
• Maintain accurate records of completed work orders and maintenance activities

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• 1+ year of general maintenance or building maintenance experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and customer service abilities
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
• Valid driver’s license may be required

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Comfortable working in a large multi-floor commercial building environment
